STACMiD has a production plant with the most modern technology, for the manufacture of polyamide strips destined for the thermal breaking of aluminum profiles. The STACMiD polyamide strips are manufactured by extrusion, with polyamide 66 strengthened with 25% fiberglass, whose physical, mechanical and thermal characteristics are ideal for use as an insulation material for aluminium profiles.
At STACMiD we have developed a large quantity of references with various dimensions and geometry (flats- dog bone, C shaped, with seal channels, with legs, tubular etc…) both standard as well as specials and we are ready at all times to develop new projects and new challenges.
Furthermore, we offer the possibility of supplying polyamide strips that are incorporated with closed cell polyethylene or polyamide foam. This option greatly improves the thermal performance of our clients systems, due to the low conductivity coefficient of these foams.
- A low thermal conductivity coefficient.
- A thermal expansion coefficient similar to aluminium.
- A melting point that is higher than the temperature of the powder coating ovens.
- Good resistance properties including temperatures up to 200° C.
- Resistant to impact and ageing.
- Resistant to UV radiation due to its black carbon content and the polymer intrinsic properties and the process method.
- Resistant to corrosion and the majority of chemical products.
- The residues produced from burning lack toxicity and neither are they harmful to the atmosphere.
